So are you keeping the tank barebottom for now or are you changing things up?

I ended up getting that black sand you suggested, worked out great. Thanks again!
Just temporarily, till the remodeling is done. I am have to move the tank when they redo my room, then back in when done. That's when I will add in the sand again.

Well my now second Aqueon water changer main unit broke.20190522_150903.jpg

This is two pieces, it started wicking water from the joint during today's water change, getting worse as I filled, had my fingers crossed that it would hold out till done.
Well done with them, a real Python will be here tomorrow got to love Amazon Prime.

Weird, mine started leaking today too... copy cat....mine is an extremely slow drip that just spends a while building up then plops a fat drop but I'm not worried about it.
