Well I had to get Casper some sand. He was tripping on his reflections big time. Got some fake plants to see how they do. So far so good.
So the fake plant experiment is moving along nicely. I can foresee in my future lots of plant reassembly.....
First he ripped this leaf off
Then this one, and he took it across the tank
Finally he had enough, uprooted the whole thing and took it for a swim....

Update on diet:
Over the last two weeks I moved Casper from NLS Ultra Red to NLS Float 4.5mm. He gets about 10 pellets twice a day. He eats it with just as much gusto as the Ultra Red, just it floats so I don't get uneaten food trapped under rocks etc.

I know I know, was trying to give Casper something else to mess with. He knows now that damn fish is under the sand and trying to take over his tank. No sooner as I move the sand back he starts digging it back out to get at that damn fish under the sand(his reflection). He really gets mad at his reflection, swimming sideways, gill flaring, that crazy twitching they do. I am going to either paint the bottom or put in some thin slate tiles under the sand to stop the reflections.
