Nah I'm getting it through glasscages.com because it is quite a bit cheaper and yes it is glass ... have 6 friends going to help me lift it and a couple furniture dollies will be rented ... lol.

Bad and Good news...

Bad news ... spotted claspers on the smaller supposed female ray pup.

Good news ... Guess I'll have to buy at least 2 females now.

More good news ... probably will get an acrylic tank from tenecor instead ... Waiting on price quotes. Ordering as soon as I can ... Hoping to get a 7x4x2 tank instead as well (400ish gal) if it isn't too much more expensive.

Can't wait to see the tank up and running. If I had a sizable tank I would say I would take the extra male off your hands so you could buy a female but hey what can ya do.

If you're 100% definitely going to build a pond, a 180 will serve your Motoro for a year. Save $2k+ (likely $3k+).

If you're set on buying a large acrylic tank as a temporary home, look at AmazonStingrays who have prices on Tenecor, FistTanksDirect, and maybe talk to MidwestCustomAquatics

Aquatic Eco's fiberglass ponds with windows are still gonna be way cheaper than any acrylic tank and you don't need to put 'em on a stand. Brent has some FS at a decent price right now (MFK buysell), you could ask if he'd ship one.

Shame about the Female being Male. Dunno how that happens

To Pete - I am going to build a pond in the basement, but it will be for the catfish ... Was going to add the stingrays when they get huge. But it was going to be 10x10 feet. :)

Either way, I am getting a display tank for upstairs and have looked at the links you have given me and am surprised that they aren't as expensive as I thought for the same size only being a few hundred more expensive on fishtanksdirect with free shipping for a tenecor tank. So I appreciate that!!!!!!

Anyway, I am looking to maybe even order a custom 7x4x2 tank but need to see price difference in comparison to the 96x30x24.

Also, I have found a vendor that I can hopefully get a couple of females from in the next couple of days .... they are about 4 " right now which is comparable to what I have. Pretty happy about that :) Wish me luck.

The smaller is still not eating earthworms, but I'm offering them more often now in hopes that it will convert. Will have to keep feeding blackworms anyway with new pups coming, but shouldn't be too hard to convert.

IMO, 7x4x2 is infinitely better than 8x2.5x2

My largest Motoro is just under 2 years old and really getting too big for the 8x3x2 she's in (she's about 13" across and probably 25" nose to tip of tail).

Good job spotting my typo on FishTanksDirect. I've never dealt with them, just seen the site. There's also a brand new Tenecor 8x3x2 (IIRC) on the BuySell in Colorado (also IIRC) for a good price, it'd be worth paying for shipping (or making a road trip) if you're set on buying a new Tenecor. In fact, this is the thread: http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?415108 lower price on page 3 w/a pump included it seems.
