Not much to report as of late.Any updates?
Glad the earthquake didn’t cause any issues. Out here in SoCal, we get them often enough we rarely notice. Not much to report as of late.
It's rain season now so the heat is not so terrible. Get nice lights shows from the lightning every night.
Yesterday was a fun morning. Just after I woke felt the tremors from a close earthquake, 6.8
As far as housing goes, still in the same place. Saving to move into a house. The houses here don't come with anything save the plumbing. So have to get your own way to cook, fridge. Also need furniture so we figure a couple more months and we should be ready to move. Got the stove they use here already. Been using it here to save on the electric bill.View attachment 1546743

Well, Groucho Marx once said, "a man is only as old as the woman he feels".You’re looking younger and younger with every update for some reason
The cans of gas are so common here that men on motorcycles deliver it. 30 minutes or less or it's free, hahaha I joke . But no, they do deliver on motorcycles, they have these built up holders on the back to carry two cans. Still on the first can I bought almost three months ago now so not bad price wise. Just 1500 peso for a full tank, or 26 USD.Panama seems quite similar. to ypur place
Living in a large city in the US, gas lines to every house were part of the norm.
Having to get propane canisters was a bit of an adjustment.

And the regular earthquakes here have become commonplace too.

When buying tanks here, eurobracing is a prerequisite.

They are very strick with electricity usage here. If we are not actually using something Cristine unpluggs it. So every time I want to watch TV, I have to plug it back in first. No more coffee maker, boil water in a tea kettle and store it in a thermos till used.
Found a guy that builds tanks on Facebook. 6x2x2 for 5000 peso, or 88 USD. Was hoping for the easy route of as many AC 110s as I could fit. But like you said, all are euro braced so will have to figure out some kind of sump..
Cool, looking forward to seeing pics of the pad! Finally we moved from the studio apartment into a two bedroom house. As compared to America, the price is shocking. Just $260 ish USD for a house rental. It came mostly furnished, couch, Smart Tv, fridge, gas stove, two beds, dinette set. The bathroom has a hot water shower and an actual sit down flushing toilet, not so common here. I will post some pictures later as at the moment is am just using Hotspot from Cristines phone. Internet will be installed later today.
