couldnt wait to see it lol
still has alot of work.heres a pic of the spray bar,nasty for only a few hours.
theres scrubbing pads on the bottom,cut up sponge in the middle,then felt on top.
it the 2nd pic,one side is on full blast,the other,all the way down

cant believe its been this long since an update.
i now have in it
2 butterfly koi
2 koi
few bullhead cats
armored cats
cory cats
mosquito fish
dollar sunfish
******* cat
plecos
fl flagfish
til oops
jewel cichlids
and im sure i missed a few
sounds like alot but there small and soon will have about 500g
will show pics once the water clears up
"reason i took pics is i had to do a serious cleaning/fixing"
water turned brown overnight
hope my fish make it,they were gasping for air lookin better now tho

i added this barrel filter last year im guessing.
drilled a hole in the pond then liquid nailed the pipe in.
filter has filter floss,scrubbies,sponges,felt sheets.
and i put an elbow in the barrel return so theres no kinks now like in one of the pics.

info on the hidden filter under the wood is in my diy thread.

only thing left to do is the trim and hide the barrel.

yes i know how big my fish get.
when they get that big i will let ya know what i did lol
and no channel cats here
i havent even finished the 500 and your asking about an upgrade
koi were babies when bought,year later there maybe 6"-8",so im sure they could live in the 500 for a few years. oh and the 500 is 8x4x2 so its 480 4reel

it was waaay easier to build then the 480 lol.
and this pond was actually how i found mfk.
no clue what i was searching for tho.lol

Oh, yeah, I know all your fish are very small, but I was asking that do you anticipate on building a larger pond.

wow thatz a really pond u got there and workmanship on it is very simplistically detailed and intricate....makes me want to emulate your work....the filteration idea was really neat.
