moved the pond today
went pretty easy.
left all the fish in it.
drained 2/3 of it.
picked it up and slid 2 metal pipes under it.
i put blocks inbetween the 2 pads so we could roll the pond over to the next pad on the pipes.
this idea worked great. :headbang2
in the last pix i didnt have the tile back in yet.

oh and i also cut off the elbow going into the filter.
it flows strait into the filter now.
will be finishing up the filter, move the uv,and finish the trim soon.

now i can make the old pad bigger for the 480g :naughty:

I love your idea!!! but you've put me in a predicament, should I dig a pond or make a pond??? Still leaning towards digging a pond since I won't be able to find wood for free, but I still like your idea alot. My only concern is the wood warping if water gets in it.

wow its been about 4 yrs ive had this.
so i decided to set it up at my new place.
the bottom plywood was rotting,i figured..
so i start to tear it off...a massive colony of bull or carpenter ants made it home!
i sprayed a gallon of killer on it.
it was nuts how many were in it.
so after that battle i put on new plywood and moved it in.
nothing special in it or will be,just some goldfish, mostly decoration.
"cat watering hole" :D
