Sorry for the slow updates.. Been hard to get motivated this week.

Finished the frame for the upper walls and the window side.

Tomorrow will work on the filter side wall and the drop down sump wall and supports. This whole thing will just sit in the upper part of the water to keep food from floating into the filter intakes. It will also have some black egg crate (If I can find where to buy some) ont he bottom 6" or so, to keep the fish out of this area as well.

On a related topic, I will have about 5000 used scrubbies for sale in about a month as well as a 10'x3'x 3/4" thick piece of starfire (Low iron) glass if anyone is interested let me know.

Could you post some pics from inside the tank of the acrylic windows. I would like to see how you have the framed and siliconed in. Thanks

God do I wish I could buy that glass from you and build my own tank.

Its all looking great VL, was the Pond armor easy to apply with the napp roller and did you get the expected coverage?
Have you taken belivery of your filtration yet?

Cheers,

Ramesh.

Thanks..

Yes the filtration is here waiting to install after the leak test.

The pond armor was 10 times easier to apply with a roller using the rough surface mixing instructions, and yes I got the advertised coverage. This was a huge relief, since I wasn't really looking forward to applying this stuff with a bondo scraper again. :)

ONly update this weekend is that I have decided to ditch the fiberglass panels on inside of the "Tunnel" walls and just line them with visqueen (Plastic sheeting).

This will be cheaper, easier, and quicker.

Looking into ordering the plumbing parts in the next few days.

I have also decided to use LED flood lights. Going to start out with 3 and if needed I can always add more.

14 more days until the leak test!
