For some reason in Wash. a lot of people substitute beach for bank of rivers or lakes. I could never figure out why though.

Haha stupid lag.

This is quite an interesting discussion, i work on ships at sea and it is a real curent problem just now with foreign species being introduced to water ways, lakes and harbours. As ships often pump sea water into their tanks for stability in different areas around the world, they release it elsewhere and it can introduce so viscious species that can have a devastating effect on a local environment. I verymuch agree with you, Thanks

i actually witnessed someone many years ago put a snakehead into a pond and got into a heated argument with the guy, mainly becaause iwanted the fish and he wouldn't give it to me but would sell it to me.what sense does that make?so he wound up letting it go and i watched the fish die shortly after release.ive been in the hobby since the mid 80's and always had big enough tanks for the monsters.in any case,i totally agree you should never release a fish into the wild. Now I can no longer get snakeheads which was one of the many fish i loved to raise.

I don't think people realize how important this information is. Releasing fish into foreign water is potential detrimental to dozens of native species.
