This is considered an inappropriate practice. To begin with, flushing the fish is not humane. Who knows how many chemicals are down the sewer. The fish suffers and goes through the horrible ordeal before it dies.

TBH here in ALBERTA there is a lake near Jasper with black mollies and AFRICAN JEWELFISH.

The Banff subspecies of the longnose dace is now thought to be extinct...

Uh, I released some aquatic insects and a leech or two back into the wild after I kept them... I had a "water tiger" and they were it's prey, until the water tiger got killed somehow... nothing bad happened yet though. I didn't think there was a problem as long as they are native.

He was kidding, but i have flushed many small fish in the past. I dont flush a fish until it is dead though so there isnt any suffering in the toilet. I couldnt flush any off my current fish though, they are too big.

Some dumb ass released 31 wild hogs from Texas up here in Wisconsin. Now in only two short years they have multiplied to almost a hundred. The can breed every 3 months and have up to 8 at a time so there is no stopping them now. They destroy crops and kill the native hogs out of competition. The guy was fined $1500 for each pig and is still awaiting his prison sentence. I know its not fish but same concept.
