Hey .... great tank u've got there. Nice setup indeed. You should be more careful with the Paroon. ID Sharks are much more peaceful and grow smaller (around 40-50'' max). Also that Nymphaea is too fragile for those fishes. Like the Bichirs very much. I've got an Senegalus myself. Unfortunately I can't find any other Bichir species in Romania yet. I love it when they chew their meal. You also have a Hair Algae problem.... I know it's pretty tough to get rid of. I know only 2 fish to eat it: American Flag Fish and SAE. Both are totally incompatible with yor fish (I know why .... I had 2 small SAE which were not thriving at all, in a smaller tank .... I fed them to my 12" Chitala in my 100 gal). You should try to remove it manually although that's some hard work ... but can become a great problem. All in all .... a great tank. I'm still waiting for my 190 gal tank. It's an Eheim MP Karat 200. You should now better ... it's made in Germany. Can't wait to fill it up.
Cheers.
But the Paroon is much better looking :D
Like i said when i posted the lotus pic, i sold it
And i just took out those big driftwood pieces, the tank looks pretty empty now but the fish were hurting themselves under them...
And thanks :)

one of my favorite tanks on here.....

u keep adding fish, you gonna need an even bigger tank haha.
Thanks, thats very nice to hear!
But i havent added "big" fish in months haha and im not gonna put more in (more poly´s are allowed however since they dont take much space)
:)
Theres not gonna be a bigger tank in this apartment, this one will have to do for now! I will have to take out the Paroon eventually and maybe the Arowana.

I just bought two paroon sharks and am wondering more about them. I bought them being told they were "emperor id sharks" then learned otherwise, i know they grow huge...right now theyre 3"...can you tell me more about them and how to feed them etc....

Dude your gonna have a badass tank. But i must say if that pangasius sanitwonsei lives long enoough its gonna start killing off all your fishes. Thats practically what they do. you know they get over 9 feet. your gonna need a bigger tank. i suggest a stock tank or build a huge pond. I mean huge.

mine is pretty picky on food at the moment, but he has grown from 4" to the 11-12" he is now in almost a year and the growth rate is getting slower.
He used to eat about anything, shrimps, fish fillets, pellets and so on but now only eats "industrial" salmon-raising-food cubes, not sure how to describe it better :)

Yes i am aware of the future size, im still thinking about if i should give him his own tank or sell him. But im gonna try to keep him for a little longer.
But dont expect that they get over 9feet, that is the maximum ever wild caught size and those specimens age is counted in decades. Those big specimen are getting harder and harder to find in the wild.
The average size is pretty big, but probably not over 9feet.
But thanks for your concerns :) i will rehouse it sonner than later.
