New project, will take a long time

perhaps it's time to supercharge the filter so you can see the BOTTOM!!! :grinno: This is why I don't like outdoor ponds.. you never know if your fish are actually still there when you don't see them for awhile... possibly taken by some other predator... Most likly not though
There is just too much to filter at the moment, the pond was sat over winter, the filter has only been running fully for 36hours or so, it is clearing just slowly, once the heavy stuff is cleared out, it shouldn't take too long......hopefully:eek:

I just don't understand why you or anyone would put fish in
a pond or tank that isn't finished and has no running
filtration.

So you have all this gunk in this pond from the winter. Plus you still have issues with the pond, ie leaks, filtration not properly functioning, fish that are small enough to fit through the bottom intake strainers and are ending up in the filter. It seems as if your constantly ripping apart or break down the filtration system for this or that reason.

Dude it's starting to sound like to me that you just don't have enough to do with yourself so you create stuff. And now you bought more fish WTF:screwy:

Plus you still have issues with the pond, ie leaks (FIXED!), filtration not properly functioning (UP AND RUNNING!), fish that are small enough to fit through the bottom intake strainers and are ending up in the filter. I don't know what to post first, pictures of everything fixed, or a video of the filtration system running as it should or pictures of more fish, it's been a busy day:D

Chamber one and two are now sealed to wildlife and fish, chamber 3 is fine as the matting is flush with the sides.
Here's the cover on two:
cover.jpg
The cover on one is about 4 times as big and not flush so if any leaves/heavy stuff do get stuck water will still flow.

If anything does now get through the drain it will end up in one and can just be netted out.

Well the cover on chamber one didn't work, mrul07's one leaf theory was right, went out to see how things were going and the pump was almost running dry because of the leaf build up. This has now been changed to a tube design

Here's the filtration up and running:

Good job bro...glad to see ya got the system tuned up...;) :headbang2

Here's a break down of the day.

Got up and had breakfast, hmmmm bacon;)

Went out and got the covers for the intakes and outlets(that's where the asagi came from), at that price there was no other option:naughty:.

Stripped down all the filters again for a final clean up before the big switch on, rescued the sturgeon(again). As expected the static K1 had done it's job and cleared a lot of crap from the water.

Then my boss texts me asking where his keys were, of course they were in my pocket and I'd forgot to leave them at work so had to take them back, but work is 3/4s of the way to a big koi place that always has nice fish in, so obviously, one white ghost, one orange ghost and a long finned koi(the first in my koi pond :woot:), I'm not a fan but Mrs Y liked how it was black apart from it's pectorals so it came home. I've never liked black fish, I've got a kumonryu in my dad's pond that cost me a fortune and I've seen it twice in 15 years:irked:

Anyway here they are:

koi2.jpg
koi3.jpg

Cut and started to fix the covers for the pipes with silicone, in my somewhat hungover state I bought the wrong silicone and that had us stumped for a while until we realised we had some magic putty left over, job done. Fired up the filters and all went well, apart from the mishap with the leaves in chamber one but as stated this has been sorted(I'll have to post pictures of that tomorrow as it's dark). BTW this was installed in the dark:nilly: but it was nice to see the fish coming up for food, the big guys are really helping the others out with their shyness and the pond is slowly clearing.

So there you have it, it's done and up and running, it's taken a lot longer than planned and come in a about a grand over cost but it's done.

Before you all think I've finished boring master Tequila to death;) there are a few problems:
