Looking great Brother...I love the size of air pump and the scale...:D
That stainless gatevalve is large dollars I bet...nice though, you'll never have to repace that one.
Not as much as I was expecting to pay but still, not cheap:D

It is hard to take any picture without an animal making a cameo:D

This project is amazing, I can't wait to see it finished, which I expect it to be when I get back from London in 3 weeks ;) if you tell me that you won't be done by then I might have to stop by and give ya a :nutkick: :grinno:
Legs crossed:eek: It's about a £100 for a rail ticket from London to here so I think I'll be safe;)

Looking great so far though :D and you can count on me to pray for no rain for the next few weeks since ... I hate using an umbrella while on vacation... or ever for that matter :irked:
The next few weeks are forecast to be dry, enjoy your holiday:D I'll try my best to get it done for when your back.

It would be great if, when you finish everything, you compile all the pictures and text into an article... ;) just an idea...

Fantastic work, by the way, brother :)
Where do you keep disappearing to? An article eh? I thought that they had to be submitted and approved, can anyone just post one?

Thanks for the kind words all.

Thanks Chester, update in a bit

Meanwhile back in hole one.......

All the boxing in for the concrete has been done today. Also all the sides have had at least another 3 inches taken off them and chamfered down with a small increase as they go down. This has been finished on both sides that have the collar already in and a bit of the other side has been done(not pictured) as has the hole between one and two. The floor has been leveled as well, most of it anyway. All in all about another 40 barrow loads:eek:

Really struggling for room at the back for it all now, I'll post a pic when it's finished, it's a bit scary although some of it will be coming back in to fill in the old pond.

Also broke out the solvent weld stuff for the pipes, done the main drain and the air as well as the the two 90s for hole two. It's strong stuff, 'use in a well ventilated area' I'd still be tripping now if I'd done it indoors, it's bad enough outside:nilly:

It takes 10-15 minutes to set and is stronger than the pipe itself when bonded. You can load the pipes up to full pressure in 8 hours although it recommends 24.

Concreting tomorrow and hopefully finishing off the sides and floor level but I've really done something to my hand and wrist. The last time I did some serious digging I had to have it strapped for a week but I was at work so it wasn't too bad but today, 15 minutes after we'd finished I could hardly use it, striking down and down time and time again to break through the clay has took it's toll. I was determined to do this thing all by hand but I'm going to have to hire a mixer for the remaining concrete, to avoid any permanent damage and with luck it will hold out for the rest of the digging, one more day and nothing else to dig:headbang2

All most forgot the dog fell into hole two today. He tried to walk past it and caught his back leg on the corner and slowly slipped in backwards. He's got a bit of a limp but his legs are in the best shape these days anyway, he's walking a lot better now than when it happened. Lifting a 8 stone dog out of a hole is not fun:nilly:

omg .. i had no idea it was this huge.... unreal... fantastic ...kudos ... :nilly:

Yea yea yea!! cheers Brother!
You sure have got a hole in the ground now!!

I like the idea of the center drain and air outlet.
The rising air column will draw the bottom debris toward the drain, perfect.

I don't know if I have ever seen that before, but you're ingenious.

Sorry to hear about the tendinitis, (inflammation in a tendon or in the tendon covering. Usually caused by not just a single injury, but a series of small stresses that repeatedly aggravate the tendon.) It can really make your wrist lame...

I used to get it all the time, commercial Crab fishing...Ice it as soon as you can, then some heat on it tonight, a dose of Motrin/Ale/Whisky :D, and you'll be good as new tomorrow...;);)

great Job and keep up the good work!
