New project, will take a long time

This won't be done any time soon, bare with me for the pics.

I believe the phrase rhymes with 'clucking bell'

'No body said it was easy, no one said it would be this hard' I'm not really a coldplay fan but that lyric seems to fit just about right.

Q:What happens when a month's worth of rain is forecast and actually arrives in one day, when you have the largest hole on the estate in your garden?
A: It all follows gravity:irked:

Mrs Y tried her best to pump it, believe it or not the pump(2000 g an hour) was running for over an hour before I came home and found this:

Q: What happens when another month's rain is forecast for tomorrow

A: Fill the dam thing in again and put it down to experience.

Feeling pretty low at the moment, will assess the damage properly in the morning and try and figure out some sort of solution:(

BTW the cat in picture three is on concrete that if floating in air, I tried as best I can to brace it up, hopefully it will survive the night. If nothing else not only can I dig a hole but at the moment it looks like I can mix a good concrete mix as well. Koi pond? time will tell:irked:

At this point if anyone else is thinking of doing this my advise is before you do anything make sure you by a big pump

i am sorry... the weather is definitly not on your side... you need some drying time badly... :(

Aww man that's not good...
Bro, get some sand bags and build a burm around the perimeter, and pitch a tent over the whole thing...Get as much to runoff from around the hole...
Just a minor setback...

man that really sucks I hope this thing survives. it seams mother nature is anctious to see it filled also. Unfortunatly a little to anxious though. we're all chearing you on man good luck and keep us postedI think you give me the inspiration to hire a mini hi-hoe to dig mine when the time comes then I can maybe have the whole thing dug in a day and if everythings ready maybe have it completed in a couple weeks. it seems mother nature and time are your enemys on this one.

Sand bags are no use zen, it's seeping through the sides hence the collapse

Too true green.

It's funny, Mrs Y said when I'd finished doing what I could do to go and MFK the disaster and have a think and take it from there, so I have a plan, always best to start with one(or a pump;)).

Now I have a plan I'm feeling much better(or was that the bottle of wine to help me with the plan:naughty:)

Right, Zen(concrete master), nothing personal to the other readers but he is the concrete master so feel free to comment anyway:

6 by 2 boards level with the collapsed sides with 3 of 3 6 foot posts leveled up(vertically) to the floating concrete, insert 6 by 2 and back fill with concrete one board at a time from the bottom of the pond() and work my way up to the top, skim the last one and hope it works?

I to have a plan to put in a koi pond, i've been getting my supplies ready so I can start next spring. Your pond is wonderful, and I know everything will work out with the weather and it will be the most beatiful place to spend a relaxing day. I raelly look forward to the updates. I live in missouri and we are getting alot of rain to.
