man! now your making me want too dig a hole :p best of luck too you. maybe you could put a tarp over it too keep the rain out, kind like ones you use too cover boats or painting tarps? could keep allot of rain out. make sure you make it like a triangle so the rain Rush's down and out of the hole. good luck.
Should be ok till the liner comes in a few days, gives us enough time to work on hole 2

When I said pave I meant the bottom and sides of the pond.

So how many Koi you planning on for this pond, or are you just gonna put in a few Wels cats and use the Koi as feeders! (Thats what I would do).
You would eh;) I've promised Mrs Y a Sturgeon. Seriously though, planning is about 20-30 koi

It's raining so how about a really simple game:

What takes three people to move it and looks like this:

Why it's a 1mm thick liner...

Oh so close, it's a 1mm thick firestone liner:ROFL:

Now for the :nilly: part, only the liner turned up, the underlay is shipped separately, due to health and safety laws. Even so you'd think they would send the underlay first, for obvious reasons?

Health and safety laws???!
is that because of the weight?
And YES you'd think they'd ship the underlayment first...

I'm guessing so but when it comes on a 17.5 ton truck anyway it does boggle the mind at times

Thanks for the kind words, glad you still enjoying reading about the build:)

It does feel better to see it here, and it's not too far off going in. The company I got it from have told me the underlay should arrive tomorrow so it may go in, I've got to stick the liner to the drain and that takes 24 hours to cure so that gives us 24 hours to finish hole 2. All depending on what the in filled side looks like when the boards come down:nilly:
