Accepted, I'll mail you when it's up and running, thanks Master;)

It's a pain but I've been getting supplies from just about everywhere every few quid of savings has helped. The koi guy not to far from me has said since day one ' I'm not cheap get it from here', 'my advise is get it from here online you'll save a ton of cash'. There are plenty of people very prepared to pay over the odds for simple things.

Rubber pipe connector, £12 from a koi dealer, £5 from a drain specialist etc etc, times 6 it all adds up..

The liner alone was a full £150/$300 cheaper than he could supply online and he gave me the site, and I did a whois on it and they're not even a little bit connected:)

I know I haven't really been posting here but that doesn't mean I'm not following this VERY closely :)

...Looks really heavy duty too.

It is, tried cutting it with a very large very sharp knife and it was not easy.

I'm not one to tease or anything but you won't believe what happened next;)

is it bleeding bad?

Mrs Y got all giddy today and wanted to work on the pond all day, another pair of hands why not.

Removed the wooden supports from the concrete infilling and the results were mixed, some good bits some really bad. So we(meaning me) mixed a load of cement up by hand and spent(meaning us) several hours pointing all the really bad spots. Just a personal thing here I hate pointing, it drives me insane and I'm really bad at it. Turns out that she is a natural which helped, then proceeded to point the poor bits on the collar. As we were on a bit of a roll as there has been a ton of sand sat round the front for week we thought it would be a good idea to move it to it's final resting place:

After that was done we thought about have a good look at the underlay before we went any further. Turns out I'd ordered at least a 1/3 more than we needed so as it was here there seemed no reason not to double up everywhere on it, and still there was more so the bad wall got 3 times as much as needed:

Then next door popped their head through window with a 'wow something is finally happening, when are you planning on putting the liner in?' Now the liner is too heavy for me to handle alone even with the wife's help and it sounded like an offer anyway:naughty: Thanks Dan;)

I promised Fraziertheking, (I think) a detailed step by step on how to weld the liner to the drain, I'll be honest here I was too nervous at the time to take step by step pictures but here is what I did:
Got the liner roughly in with plenty of play on all sides, smoothed a good section down and applied a little bit of pressure around the drain to give me a guide, got a large knife and cut:eek: into the liner on the inside of the drain. Applied sealant(a lot of) underneath the drain and pushed down. Drilled through two of the holes for the screws and fitted the clamping ring, then removed the ring any added another ton of sealant to that and then put the ring on again, drilled the other holes and tightened them slowly until the sealant just ran out. Once all the way around I tightened them firmly down, opened a bottle of wine and in 24 hours it should have set;)

Need to cut the remaining liner from the drain once it's set. The matting will be here tomorrow then hole 2 will be finished then, well, I think everyone knows what happens next:eek:
