New project, will take a long time

First time in weeks I've braved the weather and gone outside for a good look. The leak on the intake pipe has now stopped, the leak on the tank connector is better but still leaking and my water is now a lovely shade of green, I honestly thought I'd get away without running a UV this year but apparently not.
See there must be some sun hitting the water...
What are the plans to winterize the pond? Are you going to put some Barley Bales in the water?

Yes the weather is sunny one minute and raining the next, four seasons every day. Hadn't really thought about winter, the UV will clear the green, barley is another option

Bump for Zen, We've not played that game for a while.

I love this game!:headbang2

BUMP for Zenn.:naughty:

I thought the same, but ended up having to bite the bullet and get one. Waiting for the water to clear is very frustrating after putting in all that hard work.

Any thoughts on what type/size UV?

Tell me about it:irked: I don't know what to get at the moment, Just done 64 hours in 6 days to pay for that and a skimmer, today is the day off, back in tomorrow and it's done nothing but rain re-check your thread and see which one you got.

I think it's only fair to shout out a cheap pop to Nigel at www.topponds.com just down the road for me at this point. He's discounted me a ton of stuff for this project, I'm going to give him a ring tomorrow and see what he can do, then do the opposite as normal.

His solution to everything is just put a bead on it(at a grand a pop;)) Seriously though thanks Nige:)

Bump for Zen,;)
...at this rate I'm going to have to stop importing shovels and put 'bump for zen' in my sig:ROFL:

... and I can't resist showing off this:

It's simply that he wants me to use the latest and greatest in koi filtration, I'm doing it one stage back, it was good enough for 15 years or so I don't see how it's changed that much;)

He knows this so I've picked up a lot of old stuff he's got lying around on the cheap:D

Bump for zen!

I forgot send out a mega thanks for the mod who got me the MFK gear
