Really good luck with it all it sounds like one hell of a project. I wanted a koi pond with some show quality koi in it for years but it was going to cost too much so i got a little tropical tank instead, a few years down the line and i havetons of monsters and hahaha i thought it was going to be cheaper than koi, how wrong i was.

Thanks Tom, although I'm going to keep some very nice fish in there I won't be breaking the bank on the stocking, I've always preferred to buy small fish and grow them on.


After the simply amazing speed at which the UV arrived I put a call into the store just to make sure the pump was coming on a separate consignment. Confused he said yes but I should still have had it, he said he'd look at it and ring me back in 10 mins or so, which he did. Apologetically, he said he'd spoke to the courier and it looked like he'd messed the address up but couldn't be sure as he wasn't at the shop so again he said he'd ring me back within the hour and again he did. Again he admitted he messed up the paperwork somehow and would get it to me for Monday. Being human myself and prone to the odd mistake I was fairly happy with this and left it there.

Then a few hours later he rang me again full of more apologies saying he'd chased it up just to make sure it had gone out today. Frankly he sounded throughly [insert naughty word here] off. Apparently this time the courier had messed things up and missed it off the delivery because their computer had already sent it due the initial paperwork mistake so now it will be here Tuesday.

So now instead of getting Monday and leisurely measuring up the pipework etc. and getting that for the install on Tuesday looks like I'm going to have to do it all on Tuesday and no doubt forget to get a connector or something that will put it back another week:irked:.

Despite the excellent speed and service on the UV there's still something not odd about all this, maybe it's just me :confused:
 
360 controller for scale, I was going to use Dave as it's a long as him but he wouldn't stay still, which is odd as he spends most of the day asleep, generally in the way;):
