Thank's for all of the positive input. I really appreciate it. This pool/pond is far from easy. It's a good thing I like this stuff because its really time consuming.
I'm still losing water from the pool, I don't have a clue where its leaking from. One of the fall/filters is clogging up and the falls above it is starting to overflow. That should just be a matter of cleaning the barrel filter.
Here are some photos of me cleaning the main filter felt and draining some of the algae out of the bottom of the filter. Some nasty stuff that come out of this clean looking pool.

Yes the original african cichlids are in there and are reproducing like crazy. I haven't written much about the pool because its basically the same old stuff. I still have the leak and my uv light burned out so its pretty green right now.
On a happier note, I'm raising the water level in my other pond about 6 inches. I'm making room for the new peacock additions that will go in there pretty soon. I'm trying to seal the porous rocks with a latex/cement sealer. It's tuff because the plants around here are growing into the water and opening up gaps between the sealer and the rocks.

Sorry, I missed your point. Both of my tropical ponds are in the outdoor pond threads. There are universal ponding principles that all of us can learn from and experiment with. I think that's what this site is about.
