This is looking absolutely awsome Tuggerd,

That seems like so much hard work, but it'll pay off when you can just relax and enjoy the finished pond.

Here's some of my weekend work. First we started the steps going up to the deck. Second I wanted to start the pipe work for the bog. I have a quick question. What is the recommendation on how close the pipes need to be together to get even distribution of water and should I make smaller outlet holes closer to where the water enters because of the lesser resistance?
I also started the 55 gallon barrel filter work. I couldn't find any bulk heads so I used these things in the picture and cut a 1.5 cm ring off of the female end of a 2inch pipe to get a tighter seal. A little sand paper to make he hole rounder and it seem to fit pretty good.

With the entire bog filled with gravel, any areas that don't recieve direct water flow will still have their roots submerged in water. Water will wick into every available corner of the filter. You can probally just drill holes all over the pipe.

Where is the outlet to the pool?

Is it going to be a large mouth type falls or constricted and forced to another area?
