That's sillyAnyone else hear about the guy who proposed to his fiance?....he led her to a wooden bridge over a creek, stopped in the middle, kneeled in front of her and just as he took the ring out of it's box it slipped from his hands and fell through the wooden boards of the bridge.
His three thousand dollar engagement ring dropped to the bottom of the creek.
And that ladies and gentlemen is why you don't spend stupid amounts of money on an engagement ring.Anyone else hear about the guy who proposed to his fiance?....he led her to a wooden bridge over a creek, stopped in the middle, kneeled in front of her and just as he took the ring out of it's box it slipped from his hands and fell through the wooden boards of the bridge.

3K would be considered cheap now a days for a lot of people here in the US. I think the current recommended amount is up to 3x your monthly salary now.And that ladies and gentlemen is why you don't spend stupid amounts of money on an engagement ring.
I saw that video, was hilarious as it was just apparent from the beginning what was going to happen. Though if it was 3k it will be heavy enough not to wash away so he can probably retrieve it.Anyone else hear about the guy who proposed to his fiance?....he led her to a wooden bridge over a creek, stopped in the middle, kneeled in front of her and just as he took the ring out of it's box it slipped from his hands and fell through the wooden boards of the bridge.

That was always the recommended price I heard here, but I helped a friend pick one once and every ring that cost 2.5k+ was just massive to the point of being kinda tacky. The average monthly salary in the US I believe is almost 4k, who is buying 12,000 dollar engagement rings?3K would be considered cheap now a days for a lot of people here in the US.
