Yeah but you'd better get around him before he gets too close to the exit point and I doubt if he will turn around if he is Hellbent on escaping.
Guy who shot him is a idiot. Locked up for a long time or maybe even life over a 5 dollar beer can. 50 cents for each year doesn't sound like a good bargain to me. And he didn't even file a report. Pure murder if the thief didn't have a weapon and wasn't physically threatening in any way. If 5 dollars really was that important to him,call up the police and give them a description of the guy and your camera record.
What's really damning is that the storekeeper shot the guy and didn't bother to call the police afterward.
Hello; What I am about to write likely does not apply in this particular case. This guy has screwed up in one sense if he goes to jail over a $5 beer. It is more of a general attitude about life.
You get a job with a crew like I did years ago in the log woods. The crew is going to test you pretty soon to see what you are made of. You wind up doing something stupid dangerous as a sort of test. If you make it the crew will leave you alone. Guys who don't try will not get much respect. They will be picked on for as long as they can stand to work there. No respect for someone who will not stand up for himself.
You move into a new neighborhood like when I bought my current house. I had to set the bounds with my neighbors. Don't know if they like me but we get along in ways that count.
This guy who shot a fellow trying to steal a beer likely will lose by law, but if he happens to slide I bet there will not be many willing to steal from him again. I do not figure this will make sense to you at any rate.
I may give you a beer but I do not want you to try to take one from me.
So the net gain is people would not steal a beer from this guys again ?
If this kid was holding an inocinno hostage I would call the shooter a hero.

It's still wrong to steal,theft is theft, if your gonna steal your gonna have consequences.
Does one really want to die over beer?
It would be different if a starving man were trying to steal a couple hotdogs tho.
I agree...sad he was killed. People got to learn don't do the crime.
you do not shoot a person running away, thats murder, there is no threat. Thats the point, the gun is to remove threat, if you show it and he runs you can not shoot. Again threat is removed. now if he has broken into your house, its dark and you see him and shoot, this is fine, just make sure you are not shooting your family member as has been the case a few times. so better to announce. and if not identified and not backing out leaving/running shoot.
