Yeah,he does have a point, Hell, a cop dont need a sidearm when he's got a bunch of them secured within his vehicle....all he'd have to do is get to them while someone is trying to turn him into swiss cheese.I don't know where you live but I damned sure hope that you are nowhere near where that nut is running for office as it sure sounds like he's got your vote!....now,go find a link to post to prove me wrong!

In this town we have cops who don't even have a patrol vehicle,some walk a beat or ride a bicycle for eight hours or more and in some of the worst areas that I bet you wouldn't even drive through and if you think that those officers don't need to have a firearm at the ready then you are out of your damned mind.

Seriously? The blueprints for building a nuke are online, and have been for a while, has anyone nuked yet, no.

And saying our rights have limits, is the way of a tyrant, that path only leads to oppression

Hell after our bank robbery in early 2k where the guys had Uzi and auto ak's they issued officers more fire power.

There was a moment where a lot of officers serving warrants were met with (illegal) ak's. Bham use to be top 5 in murders
 
To be honest, our "rights" are nothing. You aren't guarenteed or entitled to anything in life. Not even life itself. We simply make "laws" hoping the majority will abide by them to minimize distractions so we can do what we must do to further our survival as a species. It's funny because we've differentiated ourselves so much that we basically are multiple "species". The land on earth has been divided up into countries with each country led in their own way. Some are completly shut off from the outside world while others participate with other countries. Each country is its own little species if you will. We fight each other trying to eradicate all other "species" to try to make our own "specie" the dominant one. If one country was to wipe out the rest of the world and be able to fill the people they woped out with their own people I'd be very curious as to how it would end up. Would more countries be made? Would the world work together? So many different possiblities...

Sorry if I kinda went ranting (?) or so, I just felt like sharing what I thought.

Without other countries, they would likely begin to persecute among themselves, someone would create a new scapegoat
