If it takes someone 30 years to write 8 books then I'm going to assume they put their best work into it and it deserves to be read. Jk Rowling put what, 10 years into writing harry potter? Not quite sure but it turned out brilliant and that guy took 3 times the amount of time she did so I'm gonna give it a go :)

Ahh, the hobbit was a good read. Anyone else read "of mice and men"? It's a fantastic read about a mentally disabled man and another man who looks after him traveling around the country side looking for work and trying their best to stay out of trouble that the mentally retarded man gets them into by accident. The end is sad though, won't spoil it.
Pretty common and quite old. I watched it back in the early 80's

Old things can still be good in this new world :)
Hello; being an old thing myself I am not so sure this applies to people. For other things the old stuff continues to work as well now as they did in the past.
The way I recall King's series of books about the gunslinger and the dark tower is that they were published in a sequence of releases. I am pretty sure I read them all as they were released.

Most definitely worth a read. He's an amazing writer imo

I could be wrong on the exact dates. But the 1st book was written sometime in the 70's or 80's the last one some time in the 2000's.

Cool, a friend of mine found a huge giant puffball mushroom, from a distance it looked like a volleyball, my dog used to love to eat mushrooms he found
