Why not just legalize the "Aliens" and make 'em pay taxes? It would probably solve the Social Security problem for a few years, too.

Got no problem with that. I do have a problem with alliens collecting social aid that they are not entitled too, with over population and seeing/hearing about starving and poor Americans/veterans while taking in said aliens.

Then why are all halfway sensible people escaping New York? Which is about a free state as Saudi Arabia is for women and christians

.....and I'm not with making the illegals legal as that only rewards their unlawful act.What about all the other people who took the proper steps to come here and become citizens.....

No idea about AG...it's unfortunate because it was a great city especially since giuliani cleaned it up.

Yeah I hear ya about the illegals I don't have a strong opinion on what to do with the ones that are here and contributing. Can see both sides of the argument.

What drives me nuts is how the hell are they entitled to social assistance. I would really like to hear a lib explain to me.

You must've spent too much time down South. I don't know anyone from AL, but I've heard about your neighbors. Apparently being Black or Jewish is a crime that will win you tickets, and maybe even jail in Georgia (I've heard first hand stories from people who've committed both crimes), and in Louisiana, (a state away, I know,) it gets so hot that the whole state goes to sleep at 11 AM, and doesn't wake up 'till 1.
We got plenty of conservatives here in NY. The state is pretty 50/50. NYC is liberal, but the rest of the state is pretty much the biggest bastion of conservatives in the Northeast.
The only serious argument against NY is that our glorious president hails from here.

I've traveled all over the US. The worst major city by a long shot is San Fran. You have seriously problems when you have bums in tents outside your 600k house crapping in your yard and guys tagging city transportation in broad day light with people all around.
