Re: Endlis. I would love endlis however, I just don't seem to have the patience to grow them out. I want those BIG ones, but those seem to be kinda steep for such smallish fish. I would love to have a Marble cat for sentimental reasons, I had one when I was just starting out in the hobby like 10 yrs ago, back then I didn't do water changes :screwy: and kept the Marble Cat in a 30G, fed it up good and big, of course it died after a while.

Re: PBass, don't think I would want a fish with an RTC-ish appetite for live feed. Live feed = parasites.

Re: Stingrays, as I get more experience and gain more confidence, I will eventually look at getting some rays.

Re: Pimas, :ROFL:at your Pima eating more than your help. I was really just kidding about getting one, I don't think a 10' round pond is big enough for one.

Will drop you a PM for your contacts, always appreciate being able to get more bang for the buck.

What are you housing now in the pond that you constructed for your Pima?

good to know,

with regards to the pond... as funny as it seems... DUCKS. hahaha

my brother some a few years ago and they grew and multiplied...

cool pond sir! ayos pinoy! im building a pond myself. may i ask what you used as base for your pond? from the pics im assuming its a pool. whered you get it? seems more logical to have something like that than digging up my backyard and paying the landscaper!

They sometimes go on sale at Target for $50 I believe. Have someone from the states get you one and send it here.

I personally got mine from S&R, I think I got it for P6,700 or so.

Here are some of my other costs:

  • Intex Pool (S&R): around P7,000 yata
  • Intex 12'x30 liner: P900 (the one with the blow up ring) <-- I added another liner for safety
  • Liner (American Vinyl/Binondo): mga P2,700
  • Filter media: P800 (polyfiber foam divisoria: P50/yard!!)
  • 2 pcs Rio 20HF: P4,300 (P2,150/each)
  • 4 Tier Plastic Cabinet: P700
  • 10 Meter 1' Super Hose yung makapal: P610 sa Hardware store sa kanto (sa Wilcon 900)
  • PVC Tubes and Elbows: P200
  • 4 pcs 55G Blue Plastic Drum: P2,000 (at P500/each)
  • Driftwood: P1,800

Wow pare, HANEP!!! I actually read the whole thread. Good job on everything! I was actually going to ask how much did everything cost you, but someone just asked that on the last page. If you add everything up, it didn't even cost that much!!!! Looking forward to see more updates!

Oh yeah.. How about putting huge nets to cover the top? Im taking about nets with big holes, that way you can still view the pond and still be bale to fit your arm in..

Hi ceewah, thanks for the suggestion. I am seriously considering netting on top, just need to figure out what to tie across the top of the pond so that the net doesn't sag in the middle, looks kinda ugly that way. Am thinking nylon strings (almost invisible because it's translucent and it's pretty thin) tied like a web on top and then the net goes on top. Will post pictures if it's up and it works.

BTW, if I use net with more sizable holes, big enough for my arm to pass through, don't you guys think this gives the Aros enough space to jump through?
