Amazing Video... How did you manage to just feed them like that without scaring them? Especially the arowana

For some fish it takes time for them to "get to know" the keeper. For other fish, right off the bat, they're not shy. Like my two ID sharks, the one that I adopted later is a lot more in your face and let's me stroke and pat it like a dog, even let's me pull its tail gently, the other one is a bit more shy and just let's me pat its snout.

For the arowana, I was the one who eventually got scared away. I realized that stainless steel tongs made a lot more sense than getting my hand all bloodied every time I fed. I still try to sneak a stroke here and there and at times, I reach under it and gently lift its body partially out of the water and let it swim away.. Always a welcome sight to see the scales of the aro "live" and out of water.

Awesome video. Any plans for another Aro?

Nah, not at the moment. Seems like there's not many fish needing a rescue pond at the moment.

Trying to look into eventually adding some rays.
