So are you prompting these update emails with emails of your own or are they just emailing you by themselves?
I would say if it's just them emailing you they are most likely legit. Who would waste that much time for $200? Seems like they are a company that is serious about customer service/retention.
This seems more promising the longer it takes.

Any time I send them an email I either show it here or tell yall. Any emails that are put up here by themselves were sent by them of their own free will, I have done nothing to make them email me.

And it’s not even $200, only $160, if they wanted to scam people then I’m sure there are people who spent more than me with ease.
 
I decided to send an email their way. I also decided that I don’t want to take on a non freshwater fish at the moment given the circumstances surrounding the order.

It's funny what a difference in prediction a few weeks can make. I'd guess most businesses in China are going through all sorts of turmoil now.
Have you considered cancelling the whole order and starting from scratch when/if the virus gets under control? I'd be concerned of how your fish are being looked after while all this is going on. There's a good chance the workers at the business have lots of other things going on just trying to get by day to day for themselves and fish understandably might not be their top priority at the moment.
 
I’m mostly wanting to know how the company is handling something like this.

It is now Friday and I have not yet received an email from them.
 
I wouldn't be too harsh on them given the circumstances, who knows what's going on over there at the moment. With all the quarantine and lockdowns it's not an accurate picture of how they run their business.
 
I know, I’m just interested in seeing if they can handle something throwing everything out of whack.

If I was harsh on them i would have cancelled the order as soon as I found out about the virus.
