OUTDOOR POND, ALL PIC'S

Looking good! Do you monitor how warm the water gets? Surface temp (top 6 inches) is about 80F on my pond right now ,

No i don't really monitor the water temp but that's a good idea.ill check it later today and see what it is.With the running stream i think it helps to keep it a little cooler. Will let you know.

Looks sweet.Do you ever get in and swim with the fishes.Mines to small to swim but I do sit on the edge and put my legs in,I also get in to do maintenance.

Very nice ponds everyone! Here is my family's pond that we have had for about 16 years. I'm not sure on the exact size because the depth ranges anywhere from 3ft deep to about half a foot in one area. It is about 15 by 15 feet in length and width though at the longest points so I'm guessing its between 2500 and 3000 Gallons. We used to have koi in it but they kept getting eaten by racoons and a blue heron so I currently only have my wolf fish in it and he seems to be doing very well so far. There is also a wild turtle in it that i found on my driveway and about 100 wild baby salamanders that are just developing legs right now.
