overstocked 300g eartheater tank (LOAD)

recently set up a 300g and it's already overstocked :D

I wish I were more creative/artistic, but this would have to do for now...
You are far more creative than I am, my tank decor consists of a rock, two pieces of driftwood, and plastic plants. And I would only consider your tank overstocked if you had about four times the fish you have now.:grinno:

I think it looks fantastic. I would like to get some of the "undescribed" ones. I haven't seen them before but I like the shape of their heads. It makes a nice contrast in an eartheater tank.

Thanks :) I don't know how long the swords would last with my current stock. The male psittacus pulled off a leaf the other day right when I was watching :(

Thanks - my thoughts exactly. Their color and body shape add a lot to the tank :)

Peter, yes the tank is drilled. It has double overflows. I have never used a sump or wet/dry filter so I'm totally in the dark as to how I'm going to set it up. I know a few local guys that can probably help me with plumbing. I don't even know how large of a sump I'd need for a 210?

Behaviorally how are your psittacus? Not that I have room for any, but I love how blue yours are and I'd love to eventually try some.

They are great. Very mellow fish - probably because nobody challenges them :) The male picks on the female once in a while, but nothing serious. They don't bother other fish at all.

The male is very confident and like a puppy - I trained him to eat from my hand :D Got bitten a couple of times.

Now if only I can get them back to breeding!

WOW.....
