Smaller Bad the red dovii picks a different spawning partner this time. I wonder why.

There are fry there, if you look their tails are visible. Doesn't look to be a large spawn but there are alot of tankmates and the parents are still small.

The parents started ripping into tank mates, so the party had to be broken up. I've no time or space to raise baby fish. So Smaller Bad was moved to 1800g but then to 240g - 2nd part of the video:

From YT useful info by Dazellis:

j_toledo419 Bigger Bad looks like he has grown a little

dazellis8057 He should throw some grubs worms and bugs in for him, dovii love them

Fish-Story Hard to say for me. If he did, it'd be insignificant. I was hoping for more growth since we got him from Greg but there wasn't that much, some, maybe an inch or two in the year (?) we have had him. He came already as a 4yo and 18"-20". Maybe at 4yo, he had done most of the growth he was capable of?

Fish-Story Thank you for the suggestion. The tank mates with excellent eye sight like perch, arowana, mahseer, giant gouramy, etc. are highly competitive and would snatch those first I'd expect.

dazellis8057 they grow slower the larger they get once they hit 14 15 inch they grow an inch or so a year so good growth really for his size

Fish-Story Thank you. So much appreciate your dovii tips. Oh, wow! So to reach 24" from 14" would take 10 years??

dazellis8057 maybe about 6 with larger tanks you might get a few inches a year they tend to get around 12inches then they get thicker nd taller then theyl put some length on and get thicker and taller again and it repeats with a tank like yours they could get to 20inch in 4years then then next 8inches or so will be slow also if theres females in with them they seem to grow slower breedin sometimes stunts there growth because they go so crazy they barely eat

Fish-Story Thank you greatly. I feel blessed to have in you a generous and experienced dovii adviser.
