With two breeding pairs (Rusty's and yours) it would be good to get spawn from both sets of parents and breed them. That would be safe enough and at least get a little genetic diversity going. Those ones Mo posted that he got from Rusty look like those I got from you. They look exactly alike.

An unreal fish guys. I have 11 from kens first spawn. They are from 3-7". I will keep a breeding pair and and 3-4 extras in the pond and send the rest back to Ken in the spring. It is a unreal fish, unlike any other parachromis. Mean as hell and great color.

One of my favorite cichlids ever.
Rarer then Beani perhaps?

I'd say rarer in the wild as looks like there won' be any more wild ones unless we can find a new population, and believe me we will look. Beani are common in their range, just no one goes there to collect very often. Ken
