PBB from Chad

Good stuff guys, I hope we can keep this going. @jaws7777 @Vancouver_98683 @Hao @Polyaddict86 @Troy1015.

Is it possible the change this thread's title into 'Chad / Turkana PBB showcase and discussion'? Thanks mods!

The Chad and Turk PBBs look very similar, hard to tell apart from the photos. Each specimen has its own nuances like colouration and body shape. Some look even more distinctive because of its spoonhead. However, they're all PBBs so it is rather challenging to actually point out marked differences between PBBs.

True, all this photos/angles can make the fish look different, light and substrate and change the color of the fish, also the age of the fish makes it look different from each other.
You got to own both specimen to tell them apart, need to be side by side with same light same substrate, its like telling whats the difference between a tinkisso endli and faranah endli imo.

Definitely enjoying this discussion. Seeing in person is always better than looking at pics but this is what my eyes see (from pics) - some Chad's don't look like other Chad's, some turkana don't look like other turkana infact I couldnt say which one is better looking.

So big question for me is why are turkana Soo much more expensive ?

Idk man. FARANAH and tinkisso endlis is a mess they are both guinean, that whole debate can go on for days.

With the Chad and turkana pbb I would have thought there would be a clear distinction between the two since the areas are so far apart. Something along the lines of the voltas and guinean endlis or the FARANAH/guinean and Nigerian laps. Where we can see distinct differences regardless of how small they are.

I couldnt tell Chad or turk pbb if it smackede in the face at this point

To me I don't think I could tell them apart. I think also the problem is the one's we see on YouTube or others posted are truly mature fish and also really nice unique pieces that get put on a pedestal and they are more the exception than the rule in terms of looks and uniqueness. Given that I'll take one if you want to go find me one for a study.
