I have never gone dumpster diving, but I might consider it because my petco recently got rid of at least 30 empty glass tanks. I might have to check out behind the store to see if I can find me a steal.

Have you gone dumpster diving at a lps/lfs? Have you found anything worth sharing?

Wait your petco got rid of 30 tanks? Damn, I don't care if I have to be crammed in the car. I'd go and get as many as I could!
The best part is: my mom thinks it's a good idea, AND it's legal!

Now let's hope this petco doesn't break their tanks when they throw em out.

Oh shoot, is this a thing? I can’t tell my wife about it. I would never hear the end of it.

She thinks it’s a great idea, she wanted to go “diving” as they term it, at planet organic for produce that is still edible. I told her that’s disgusting and I wouldn’t eat it. And she can’t tell anyone we know about it. Then when we found out it was just her and some other guy neither of us met, she finally backed down.

But hey I don’t eat aquariums so that sounds like it could be useful. Just saying.

I bet you'll at least find something cool, keep us updated.

I used to hunt pocketknives, just look around where other hunters and fishermen hang out

Get your wife to turn the produce into compost, then dump it in the garden, and raise chickens/gamebirds for meat

Also hit goodwill and such, those display dressers can be made into terrariums quite easily(basically just water proof the inside)
