Petco/petsmart Dumpster Diving, What Have You Found?

Talking about good finds, are we? I found two different people selling a 75, both listed for $100
One comes with tank, two canisters, and stand. Other comes with what I'm sure is a light, tank, and stand. I swear if I had $200 You'd see it all gone!

Too bad I only have $80, my dad's gonna co-op with me and use $20 from his money to buy the tank.

Depending on what those 2 canisters are you could triple your money, maybe even quadruple it. I'm talking about 2 fx6 but that's unlikely.

Found those canisters for $13.

The lights on the 2nd one is utter garbage. I could make a better lighting system for a 75 for the same $ it costs to buy one of those.
The stand is decent but once again it can easily be made.
Eh, both aren't good but the first one is slightly better because of the filters I guess? I don't think the 2nd one even had a filter. It does have a heater, not sure if it comes with it though.

$13? I didn't click on the link but if it is the filter and all mans just gonna add one of those to all of my tanks that are 10 gallons and up.

I found these okay lights for like $11-$12 for a 12". Since the tank won't be planted I don't have to go overkill on light. I think I'll buy 2 and if I have the money, 4.

Just clicked the link, That's where you put activated carbon, it's not the whole canister.

Petco,Petsmart and other big lfs chains have rooms where they store aquariums and even filters to normally be sent back to their warehouse. It would be worth asking if they had anything they didn't want.
