dude that background is kewl
at the very least put it up and say it's rustic art
kinda like using beer cans to make wind chimes type of thing lol
ya thought about it but everything here is fw.lol
tried selling it as a painting.lol
i got one person that wants it.
"anyone just tuning in theres cool pics of the background on the last page"

update
got the return plumbing setup. :headbang2
not glued yet.
the 90 inside the tank is threaded through the cardboard so i can remove it if needed.
"cardboard will be glass.lol"

only plumbing left is the overflow piping.
but i went to lowes and home depot and couldnt find the right 90 degree elbow for it. :irked:
going to an irrigation and plumbing store tomorrow.

painted the corner metal with krylon fusion.
the aluminum was corroding so i sanded them down and painted them.
"nothing wrong with glass in the 5th pic.lol"
also painted a piece of glass to see how black spray paint would look like as a backing.
one is krylon fusion stuff. other is cheapo paint.
one pic is paint, other is paint through glass.
both paints look crappy.lol
"i used very dirty glass tho" lol

cleaned the tank for like 12+ hrs.
used 1000 grit wet sandpaper, razors, lemon juice.
heres a link on how i cleaned it
http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=108191
finally got the background done.
put 3 screws and a piece of wood to keep the backing tight to the glass on the bottom.
didnt want to tape bottom and not be able to change it later.
was going to go black but it showed stains to much.
looks good blue tho, cant wait to see sand in it.
started a few other threads on it that helped.

moved the tank up to the wall.
also made a new overflow grill.
new one has smaller mesh.
i folded the mesh once then folded it into a box for more strength.
also made better clips.
filled up the tank a lil to test for leaks.dont see anything.
next thing is getting the tank to set flat on the styro.
