Heh, that looks like the diy i will be doing. In each of the drawers exsept the middle one i will be putting SPONGES and bioballs.

then i would need an elbow and that would restrict the flow wouldnt it?
a spray bar will limit it to right?

could you put together a thread about how you did it

theres already a bunch of those kinds of threads here.
but i will post more pics and how i did it in this thread so keep an eye on it.

just got it setup and flowing.

the overflow seems to not be flowing much.
could it be because i have it at an angle?

ok this sucks,just pointed it down,still the same.
i think its the elbow that came with the bulkhead kit.
why would they put it in the kit if it doesnt flow good?

Is it keeping up with your pump? Or is your pump running the sump dry?

not keeping up,and its only a 258gph pump,1" bulk overflow,3/4" return

The only way I know of to get more water out is to pump more water in.
Remember, the overflows (if sized properly, meaning not too small) will only drain as much water as they are given.

that would overflow the tank i think.

you might want to try and put a t-connecter instead of the elbows that are connected to the bulkheads, it will allow air to get in and help with the flow.
