googled it and its close but not it i dont think.
no clue on the teeth,was a long time ago.
but i did use pliers and not my hand for some reason.lol

I know I'm a few months late on this ID, but I'd stick it in the Sciaenidae, which would include many of the fish you other folks mentioned already (good eyes!). After taking a closer look I believe it to be in the Isopisthus genus (Common name silver weakfish). Of course with out seeing the fish in person this is just an educated guess. Hope it helps!

PS here is a species of Isopisthus, not saying it is or isnt your fish, but it helps place it in that genus.


EDIT: Ok Maybe not the Isopisthus, the mouth isnt quite right. But I am still holding strong with the family Sciaenidae.

they said that river had sailfish but dont think we got any of those.
i think all we caught was a few of these.

Nice pinfish, good grouper bait, biggest on I have ever seen. Though I caught on slightly smaller then used it as bait.
