Here is my 16"+ Guyana Aimara. The first six picks are of the first hours in the tank on Dec 27th 2010. The last four were taken tonight. Right now the Aimara is in a 75g for a few months until I put together a larger setup. What other fish you know gets delivered to you in a cage lol, i love it.. That second last pick i got a little brave trying to hand feed.

I like the 2 picture with the cage.
The moment I saw it I laugh...
It like some kind of wild animal
Eg. Tiger in the cage
Like the marking and feature abit greenish.
Well try not to hand feed... At your own risk.

Still not yet cover in this thread.
I thought H. microcephalus is now a synonym for H. aimara after the reclassification? Is it still it's own species?

That's a great aimara, very strong colouring.

I'm sorry but having a fish shipped in a cage is the most badass thing I've ever seen. Even people who dont keep fish or know anything about wolf fish can appreciate the significance of that!

Also I wish i had thought of using a cage rather than 8x bagging my wolf...he still made it through 5 bags.

Very much south..
That cage thing is simply the grandest fish related stuff I've seen in a while!!

Was it Oliver who shipped it like that?

Yes it came from Oliver. He told me these big guys will go through bags no problem. When i opened the box to find the fish in a cage i was like wow, these guys are bad ass!! kinda freaked me out. Its a beautiful Aimara and really starting to come around now, soon as i approach it's all over the glass. Thanks for all the compliments, i'll be sure to keep you guys updated.
