Now for some sad news. I was hoping to put in the fish this weekend. Last Tuesday, I came home to find the lids open on my 210 and my RTC on the floor. I did what I could to try to save him, but he was too far gone. Honestly, he was stuck to the floor, so I didn't have too much hope.

Not sure what we'll put in the pond now. The landscapers through in some red ear sliders and I tossed in a few small lake fish from my fishing trip last week.

Almost done though, just a few minor details here and there.

sorry about your fish :(
Your pond looks great....very natural!

WOW, Love the design. Hows the filtration working out?

The biggest thing in the pond right now is the turtles. I haven't checked my levels yet. I don't even really have bio media in the tank yet. I put it all in my sump on the 450. I need to check my parameters and see whats up.

The rtc went from a 450g with friends to a 210g all by himself. I don't think he liked this. He would destroy the fx5 filter intake, bite the hose, etc. I actually got him a dog toy to push around. This calmed him down for a week or so. Then one weekend, I saw him push open the glass lid and nearly come half way out. After that I put the large light on the lid openings to keep them shut. Stacked a few other things on top as well.

When I came home, everything was pushed back of the lids. The middle lid and the far right lid were wide open, and he was on the floor. It was a game to him, to see if he could get it open, to see what else he could terrorize, only it got him on the floor.

Well, my pond is now a cloudy brown color.

I'm assuming this is a bacteria bloom and it'll go away once it cycles?

I haven't tested my parameters yet, should probably get on that.

Could just be dirt residue off the rocks being stirred up from the turtles.

Falls look real nice. Is there media in there? Does the skimmer have and mech. abilities?
