Beautiful fish. She seems very uninterested in her new tank mate haha. Why does she shuffle near the end and fan sand everywhere?? is that a normal habit for them or is she just trying to get a comfy hole?

thank you ^_^..the gold fish goes completely ignored ..unless it eats all of her pellets.

she just got her tank changed back to sand..she loves to dig in it!..find her with just her back and eyes sticking out some times. ^_^

Haha its pretty funny that she is just covered in sand. Awesome vid. judging by the size of the goldfish im sure it will be eating most of the pellets haha

yeah...she is a fatty goldfish ..was half that size a few months back when I rescued her from a 5 gallon tank...for size reference the sculpin is over 7 inches.

another video...and interesting observation.....so while catching crayfish i often fined sculpin under the same rocks ..a while back I tossed a bunch of marbled cray in to the tank. while taking pic last night I noticed a cray coming out looking for food..out of her cave? O.o...even caught them on camera as the cray came out to snag a algae wafer..the sculpin turns around..tried to take the pellet and lets the cray take it away back in to her cave O.o...they are living together? ( oh and finely a feeding video ^_^)

I snatched one of these out of a river recently and was wondering if it is possible to acclimate it to a more tropical temp of around 75 to 80 degrees if i increased the temp of its tank by a few degrees every week?

75 is max i would ever go with a sculpin...anything over that and they start struggling.

Many of them found new homes when we took our tanks in another direction, the two we were going to keep Died to an evil pumkinseed we tried to introduce...who also found his way to a new home.
