Purchased my first Koralia (ended up with a #4 (1200 gph movement)), and it is COMPLETELY silent. Even when I put my ear right next to it, nothing. Creates awesome water movement as well. They're advertised to consume less power as well.

I can only imagine the smaller models would be just as quiet.

koralias for sure!!! the only problem with the koralia is that if ur not careful during maintenance of the impeller it wont start up again. theres this little magnetic washer that can fall out of place very easily. once it falls out of place ur basically ***ed.

i own a maxi jet 1200 as well... its on the shelf collecting dust... it works good but it sounds like my fish have their own vibrator...
