It is really sad and although they realize now what they have done to this Lake, they still can’t fix it.

Its starting to happen to a certain degree in Tanganyika.
At the north in Burundi, the most populated part of the lake, fish are becoming more and more scarce.
Run off from industry and farming in the burundi region is changing the water quality. Add to that fishing for food due to increased population, and the ornamental trade in the area, and all the fish in that area are suffering.
Tanganyika is a very different lake then Victoria.
Victoria is shallow and always had a thin oxygen layer.
Tanganyika is nearly the deepest lake in the world, with a much deeper oxygen layer, so it may be able to deal with humanity (interesting word) better.

It may not be the rarest of them but I have been looking for a Petrachromis Texas for quite a while.
