thanks, yes u r rite at their current size they could outjump the glass fencing (barely 3' high), wat I can do is try to prevent factors that could cause them to jump such as tankmate selection, ensure good waters, wellfed.... at times they try to snap dragonflies that came by..... nothing much I could do really, just monitor, so far they r behaving good cos I got the whole bunch together at juvie stage... hope they stay that way
You misunderstood me. What I ment by my comment was that I've always envisioned a set up where they were able to jump (since that do that quite a bit in the wild) but be safe. My idea although a little different from yours would go something like this - I would make a pond with a viewing window that is completly enclosed (the hang up here in my vision is maintance) without ledges where the wall meets the pond and has some branches suspended randomly over the water where I could put in some bugs for them to hunt.

It didn't even cross my mind that they would be big enough to be able to make it over your barrier...

Wow, that is one of the best ponds I've seen on here. Amazing work and the Reds look great.

sweet set-up bro ^^ it is great to finally see someone with similar color SR (that is, not quite red). Great body shape though ... in fact, they look exactly like the one i have =P

gorgeous. very zen. i'll bet it would look great with some rays in there
I have some rays but feeding would be a problem with the ever greedy aros and mahseers, kois too...don't rays in there will ever get a share unless I hand feed...

All looks nice. Very good specimens. May you post some video at feeding time?

will they breed in that environment?
its possible to breed in concrete ponds but depends on other factors as well... anyway the aros r still too young.. we'll see in 3 yrs time
