Sorry to be the big D but ornate and endli can hit 10”-12” in the next 8-12 months. Even with no power feeding they can grow fast, clean water can make them grow fast which is i know you always have.
As I said, today the ornatus is far shorter than the rope. And I will upgrade the tank in less than a year, I hope.
We got to remember the rope will grow too.
When the ornatus grabbed the other fishes he was in a smaller tank. I think it was a territorial issue. Now he's doing fine with the rope, no problem at all.

The endli is even smaller than the ornatus (about 3") and its in another tank. Im trying to get both get the same size by super feeding the endli. Shrimp and worms besides the pellets. Ornatus only on pellets. So, if they are same sized, when I put then togheter again there will be no reason to worry about. At least for them two.
I dont know if its possible, but Im trying. Lets see.
