  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i have always used prawns

MY REDTAILS WOULD WREAK HAVOC LIKE THAT THROWING STONES AND THINGS AGAINST THE GLASS. i WENT ON HOLIDAY FOR A WEEK AND MY SECOND RC PUSHED THE INTAKE UP OUT OF THE FILTER AND DIED. MY BIG GUY IS STILL GOING STRONG BUT QUIETED DOWN HE PLAYS WITH THE AIRSTONE AND WILLO SWIM IN CIRCLES PLAYING WITH THE AIR HOSE BUT NOT AS AGGRESSIVE HITTING THINGS AGAINST THE GLASS - THANK GOD -

THEY EAT ANYTHING YOU GIVE THEM- MINE EAT MASSAVORE AND LIVE FEEDERS - i KNOW PEOPLE HATE GIVING FEEDERS BUT I THINK THE HUNT MAKES THEM HAPPY - BUT FEEDERS ARE SAID TO HAVE DESEASES AND MY TANK DID GET HARMLESS WORMS FROM THEM - LOOKED DISGUSTING AND TOOK A LONG TIME TO GET RID OF. SOI MANY WATER CHANGES WE DID NOT WATCH AND ENDED UP LOSING OUR CHANNEL CAT

I new to the MFK but I figured I'd show off what brought me here. And what gave me love for monster fish.

Here are a couple pictures of my pride and joy

I currently have a 18" RTC and a 20" RTCxTSN in a 750 gallon tank (along with 2 Florida gar, 1 Aligator and a 20" Clown Knife). Other then feeders, what else should they be snacking on? I have tried frozen smelt and shrimp but they turned their nose up on it. Thank you for your time in advance.

Tail color comes with time more than diet. It starts as a brownish black and turns red around the 8"-14" mark. Some are slower than others. I've always fed mine shrimp, and fish fillets, and the tail is striking at 28-30".
