RTC and TSN Information

my rtc seems to have problems on both of his gills. one of his gills is like very short or deformed i should say, to an extent that you can see his inner gills. and i think the other gill has a gill curl, what should i do??

Question regarding my RTC.
He's not old, I've had him for about 1 month, he grows like hell!
BUT, He is spending his days and nights in the SAME SPOT 24/7. Under this piece of wood.

He is not scared overall, and not easily startled.
Earlier (like 2 weeks ago) my light in the tank was pretty bright, it is now changed and very dark, To see if he comes out. But nope (except for some hours during the day, when the light from the window shines in) To see if he comes out. But nope

Do I have a problem or should I just wait? As I said he's been under the wood for a month. Any ideas?

I often see people that have their monsters in "open" tanks.
Would it be okey to take everything out?

Worms and bits of fish fillet ... still curious about the one spot question.

They are nocturnal fish, so they find a dark spot and hide it the daylight hours. Mine comes out from hiding as soon as the light goes off.
