hmm thats just weird. if youve been using that well water in the tanks i am just clueless as to what really happened.. only other thing i can think of is it shorting out and electrocuting the fish.. but that doesnt quite fit either..

you might have pulled some weird contaminant out of the well...regardless, it is indeed sad that you have lost your fish. You have my condolences.
well i took that pump apart and it has some kind of clear crap in it.
called the people i got it from and they said they had it winterized last year.
going over today to see what it was they used . the pump come off and old jacuzzi.
so this mite be the culprit

wish they would have told you that BEFORE you put it in the tank! lol.. likely that is what poisoned the fish..

update on the fish loss
found out the people had the pump winterized. and what they used had metheleathelkeytone so that was the culprit
so now i need to decide what to put in the 180.

MEK is a highly volatile solvent, I can't see them using it for winterizing...running it 2 hrs in water would have rinsed it well enough...It had to be an ethelene glygol product, (antifreeze) or an alcohol based solvent...either way, sorry to hear about your catastrophic loss...invisyblegypsey;2307734; said:
