I agree. I have worth with MEK for years. Two hours worth of flushing should have cleaned it out. But I guess there's always a chance.

EDIT: Didn't realize we wer bumping a dead thread. LOL

When I think I'm being too cautious I think of stories I've heard like yours or even stories made up in my head from paranoia. I'm going to be sure to always be verrrry cautious. Sorry about the loss.
