haha, im using playsand. im too lazy to switch out now haha.. but im dinkin of gettin some 3M sand or crush crytsal or something.. =)

Grr I just put pea sized gravel in my new 120. The 65 which was replaced was BB.

Sucking the sand outta the 65 was easy. Sucking gravel outter the 120 will be a %@#$

he's fine and dandy. i htink he spit it out as he dashed to the back of the tank. he has been eating and i think i saw him going number 2 today.

yeah he's just great. trying to track down the raphael i just put in but he can't seem to find him haha. i just bought 100lbs of play sand simply because i like to over pre-pare and not under prepare. i'm an RA at my school and all of the residents will be moving out wednesday morning. this means that i can head home for a few days and get the tank set up. after cleaning and when filling the tank. if i were to put some a filter from an established tank into the water, would that help the sand settle?

It would help the cycle. Might remove some really fine particles from the water, clearing it quicker.
