Shark Egg: Round Two

Just created some decor that I'll use in the lavarock implant that I'm building as a centerpiece for the tank.

I collected these pieces of sponge coral and fan coral off the coast of Cancun in 2005 after being trapped in Hurricane Wilma for two weeks.
I've treated them for several days now and am painting them using Krylon Fusion paints.

I believe these will look nice in the insert I'm building, as they will add some more dimension and color, without the hassle of living corals.

Hey Charles, I'm a long time reader of the forums, but just recently decided to become an active poster. Just wanted to say I've been following the thread, since I want to make the transition into salt, and eventually sharks, and this process just seems amazing. Can't be anything more satisfying than raising a shark from an egg. I will continue to follow your progress and I wish you the best of luck.

I say just go for it. I stumbled into saltwater by accident, due to a brackish failure, and now I'm exclusively saltwater.
Once you really get into it, freshwater just becomes to boring.

I'm glad that you're keeping up with the thread! At least I know that my efforts to constantly update it aren't going completely unnoticed.

I'd definitely encourage you to make the jump over to the dark side. Do some homework, talk to the people on this forum, and allow some of us to (kinda) guide you as you just dive right in
